As Matt suggested, you played a pre-production print copy. Due to our success on Kickstarter, the final version will be a little better component wise, and contain up to 124 new cards across the Ninja theme deck and another mystery one and some teasers. So we hope even better value at $50.
For anyone interested in the entirely optional depending on “how much of a jackass you are” take that part of the gameplay, there are many ways to block and play around the attack cards in Unfair. You tend to discover this in the first game and more with replays. Its deep with room for mastery.
