It’s the most wonderful time of the year!!!

That’s right time for Gen Con 2015, and our yearly preview of the top 11 for you to try at the con and top 11 for you to buy at the con.

Rules are simple… To try are games you cannot buy at the Con.

To Buy are all games you can buy at the con. Given unlimited funds and assuming you can run like the Flash when the running of the bulls begins!

Board Game Geek Gen Con 2015 Preview

 
Tonight Chris and Dan start off with some news and some what we have been playing chat.

Including a discussion about our recent 6 hour game of forbidden stars.

Then Isaac Vega and Jonathan Gilmour join the cast to talk about Dead of Winter Expansions (Holy scoop!) , Ashes, and News at 11.

And finally all 4 of us play a game of News at 11. This was one of those things that was just truly fun as all hell to do. Some random fun improv and a great game to boot, so you better run and pick up both Ashes and News@11 at Gen con.

In this super sized episode, we have our Yearly March Madness Tourney.

This year we try and find the BEST filler game there is.

Who will win? Who will be upset? You will have to listen to find out.

This years panel includes Dan, Chris, Matt, Ruth and Adam S. With some write in tie breakers to help us out as well.

Ok so we recorded for a LONG LONG time. I, as always, just kinda figured this would be a nice let’s get together and record a quick 3 hour podcast and then play a game or two. As always this didn’t happen. Pizza, beer, brownies and cupcakes (Thanks to my beautiful bride Janice for those) and much much much talking/debating about games, next think you know it’s after midnight.

So year editing this one was a beast and I will apologize for this being nearly four hours but hey that’s all top notch free content for you! Enjoy it in bite size chunks and you won’t be disappointed at all.

Next year however, we won’t be explaining the games we put in the field of whatever themed tourney we do. It would be nice but it’s what takes the bulk of our time up. I would rather put the time into debating and not needing to edit it down at all.
